MEET OUR GOATS
Hi. I am Zorro (DOB 2/2017). Don’t I look dashing in my hat! I am the Big goat of the group. You may not see me in every yoga class because of my size, but I will be crying if I am not included. I am like a ventriloquist because I like to talk without opening my mouth. For such a big guy, I have a very little voice. I am a Nigerian Mini Nubian cross. Don’t let my big belly fool you - I’m not pregnant.
Hi I am Timber (DOB 5/2017) I am a Mini Fainting Goat, hence the name Timber. I like to help around the farm, can you tell? If you feel someone tugging on your shirt during class it’s probably me. My favorite thing is to pull on stretchy things. I have a favorite hat that I wear for class.
Hi. I am Madeline. (DOB 2/2017). You can tell from my eyes that I am very sweet and gentle. I love helping the yoga instructor lead the class. I always stay very close to her just in case she needs my help.. Can I be your yoga partner?
Hi.. I am Roxy. My sister, Rosie, and were born in March 2019. We are Dwarf Nigerians. This will be our 2nd year of practicing yoga. I love socializing with people and want to be your favorite goat!
Hi. I am Captain (DOB 2/2018). Sometimes the older goats push me out of the way when my mom, Gail, brings us special treats. But I am patient and wait my turn because I know she will save something special for me. Yoga makes me so relaxed that I may sleep on your mat. Please take a minute to give me some attention. Do I look like anyone else in my group? Zipper is my full brother.
Hi. I am Zipper (DOB 4/2017). When you meet me, you might be able to guess how I got my name. The stripe on my back looks like a zipper. Don’t you just love my long ears? Just in case you couldn’t tell, Captain is my full brother. I am part Mini Nubian.
Hi. I am Sophia (DOB 11/2015). I am the matriarch of the group. I make special noises and do this special thing with my lips when I am trying to teach the younger goats that I am the leader. It looks like I am sticking my tongue out at them. I love spending my days in the wooden play structure where I can feel the cool breeze on the hot days while overseeing my herd.
Hi. I am Bandit (DOB 3/2018). I was named for the black circles around my eyes. I am a Dwarf Nigerian. I am a very brave boy and am very inquisitive. I loved doing yoga last summer and can’t wait to meet new people this year. Please make sure to take a selfie with me.
Hi. I am Dexter (DOB 3/18). I am still a shy guy but once you catch me, I am very gentle. Please approach me slowly and scratch my neck before you scratch my head. I look like I might be Bandit’s brother but I am not. I am part Mini Nubian.
Hi. I am Rosie, Roxy’s sister. I was born in March 2019 and am a Dwarf Nigerian. My sister and I are almost inseparable even during yoga class. We love to run and jump on things as well as head butt each other. Don’t worry, we won’t hurt each other - it’s just how we play. I love posing with you for photos. Getting dressed up for class is one of my favorite things.
